Organization & Structure 20 pts Writing	Poor - The story lacks organization, structure, transition of thoughts, and adequate length. - You did not use your prewriting notes. It is not in chronological order. There is not a variety of action verbs.	Fair - The story is somewhat easy to follow and is told chronologically. Organization, structure, transition of thoughts, and length are adequate but could be improved. - You used some of your prewriting notes to write a draft that includes 2-3 different action verbs.	Good - The story is organized, structured, has transition of thoughts, and adequate length. - You used your prewriting notes. At least five action verbs were used to clearly express the story.
Format 10 pts Revising	Poor - Paper lacks many elements of correct formattting. - It does not include a variety of verbs to tell the story.	Fair - Paper follows most guidelines. - It includes 2-3 different action verbs to tell the story.	Good - Paper follows designated guidelines. - It includes at least five different action verbs to tell the story.
Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling 20 pts Publishing	Poor - Paper contains numerous grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.	Fair - Paper contains few grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors.	Good - Rules of grammar, usage, and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct.
