Organization & Structure	Poor - There is a lack of organization to the writing - Paragraph is disjointed and lack transition of thoughts. -There are no paragraphs used	Good - Structure of the paragraph is not easy to follow. - Paragraph transitions need improvement.	Excellent - Structure of the paragraph is clear and easy to follow.
Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling	Poor - Paper contains numerous grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors. - Language uses slang or conversational tone.	Good - Paper contains few grammatical, punctuation and spelling errors. - Language includes the use of some slang or conversational tone but it does not greatly detract from the reading experience.	Excellent - Rules of grammar, usage, and punctuation are followed; spelling is correct. - Language is clear and precise and uses good sentence structure.
Content & Development	Poor - Content is lacking. - Major points are not clear and /or persuasive.	Good - Major points are addressed, but could be supported by more evidence or discussion. - More clarity of discussion is required but overall argument is clear	Excellent - Content is comprehensive, accurate, and persuades readers that you are correct about your answer. - Major points are stated clearly and are well supported.
