This essay has been edited, stylized, and completed with an holistic awareness of the assignment, structure & formatting. (N/A)
Content & Development 25 pts How well writer addresses the assignment and/or understands assignment's purpose.	Almost Fair/Poor (C- to D) 12-14 pts - Content is incomplete. - Major points are not clear. - Unclear if writer understands purpose (assignment).	Good/Fair (B- to C+) 15-19 pts - Content is not comprehensive. - Major points are addressed, but not well supported. - Research is inadequate. - Content is inconsistent with regard to purpose (assignment) and clarity of thought.	Excellent/Good (A+ to B) 20-25 pts - Content is comprehensive, accurate, and addresses the assignment. - Major points are stated clearly and are well supported. - Research is adequate. - Content and purpose of the writing are clear.
Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling 25 pts This includes all mechanical (proper usage) and technical (formal writing) issues with writer's essay.	Almost Fair/Poor (C- to D) 12-14 pts - Poor command of grammar, spelling and vocabulary for this level. - Language uses jargon or conversational tone. - No attempt at new structure.
