After a review of the Color Theory Unit and the Color Wheel, the students will create an original color wheel incorporating all of the colors of the color wheel but has the color wheel hidden in plain site. The student will correctly mix the correct colors on the color wheel, using only the primary colors, secondary colors. tertiary colors, and neutrals creating an interesting composition.

Students will create a 5 value scale and use acrylic paint to effectively demonstrate how to create a monochromatic painting progressively moving from dark to light as well as mix complements to create neutral colors.

Apply learned color schemes.

After a review of the color wheel, students will correctly mix and paint the correct 12 colors on the color wheel in order.

This rubric is designed for evaluating the Neurographic Art Project - Advanced Class

This rubric will help evaluate Yearbook members on a quarterly basis as part of their semester grade.

Independent Activity: Create a collage that represents your gratitude list created in class. The collage should be made using Internet Images, magazine clippings, photographs, and or drawings. This collage should consist of a wide variety of images that tell the important parts of your gratitude list. You will present the collage to the class, and it may be displayed on the wall of the classroom. Grades will be given according to the attached rubric.

Students will construct a cube from poster board. Each face of the cube will represent one of the art elements, except for Form, which will be represented by the cube itself. Art Elements: Color, Line, Space, Shape, Value, Texture, and Form.

Students will draw a still life of basic forms and apply shading techniques they have learned to render a final drawing that illustrates their understanding of drawing concepts we have studied in class.

~ Learning Goals ~ The students will develop skills in sculpture. The students will learn that sculpture can be made in a variety of ways. The students will learn about different ways mixed media can be manipulated. Students will learn about proportion and scale.

Create an over-sized sculpture of an everyday object in the style of Pop artist Claes Oldenburg.
