Value Scale & Neutrals 
Students will create a 5 value scale and use acrylic paint to effectively demonstrate how to create a monochromatic painting progressively moving from dark to light as well as mix complements to create neutral colors.

Student completes artwork with evidence of basic levels of craftsmanship. Needs more attention and clean-up and more paint layers applied.

Student completes artwork without concern for craftsmanship. Work is sloppy or incomplete.
Effort & Participation

Excellent

Student works diligently each day, gets to work without being prompted, uses time efficiently in class, is always on task, completes class work on-time, participates and is fully engaged for the full class period.

Student mostly works each day and is on task, has to be prompted sometimes, completes work on-time, participates appropriately, is engaged most of the class period.
