Acrylic Color Wheel Painting Rubric 
After a review of the color wheel, students will correctly mix and paint the correct 12 colors on the color wheel in order.

Colors are correctly and evenly mixed

Excellent

Each color is mixed properly displaying the correct Primary colors (RYB), Secondaries (GOV), & Tertiaries (RV, BV, BG, YG, YO, RO).
Good

The colors are mostly well mixed, displaying the Primary colors (RYB), Secondaries (GOV), & a close version of the Tertiaries (RV, BV, BG, YG, YO, RO).
Fair

The colors need to be mixed a bit more and many of the colors (3 or more) are not mixed correctly.
Poor

All of the colors that are mixed by the student are incorrect.

Colors have been pained solidly. Most colors are transparent or streaky Craftsmanship could be improved.
Poor

Colors have been painted with 1 layer, but craftsmanship needs much improvement. All colors are overly transparent and/or very streaky.
Effort & Participation

Overall Neatness, Daily Work Ethic, Use of Class Time

Excellent

All 12 areas were exceptionally painted and the lines were completely straight; individual colors remained within the space. Student worked diligently each day without being prompted.
Good

The 12 areas were painted very well with only a few imperfections. Most lines were straight and some colors crossed over into other spaces. Student worked the majority of each day.
Fair

The 12 areas were well painted with several small mistakes. Many colors were crossing over into other spaces. Student worked when prompted, but also used class time on other work.
Poor

The 12 areas were painted with many imperfections. Lines were very crooked and paint was applied haphazardly to each space. Student did not use class time well, did not work on class assignment for the majority of the time for this assignment.
