Students will create graffiti piece that illustrates a cause that is personal to them. It will include a word, symbol and a background.

Art projects without a specific rubric or other assessment criteria will be evaluated and graded using the following rubric.

1.You will choose a work of art from the Op Art movement (painter, poster illustrator, or sculptor/artist). 2. You will research the ARTIST (include background information) and analyze the artist's artwork you selected using the four frames to guide you. 3. You are to present your information including at least two examples of artwork over two pages in your VAPD.

Practical Assessment

The purpose of this assignment is for students to become familiar with the elements of photographic composition of shapes. Students will submit 8 digital photographs using Shapes. The finished project should be organized in an 8 slide power point or movie.

Objectives: The Student Will: 1). Be able to identify Cubist works (namely the works of Picasso and the Cubist-inspired works of David Hockney). 2). Develop compositional skills. 3). Continue the development of their sense of composition. 4). Learn to appreciate the visual aspects of one's surroundings. 5). Express or create a work showing a time frame. 6). Think of what the final composition will be while shooting. 7). Continue the development of critical analysis in a positive manner. 8). Respect the work done by others.
