Report on a famous French artist Report on a famous French artist Research a famous French artist and recreate a painting. Research artist biographical information and a description of the artist's significant works in French. You need 5-7 facts about the artist life and times. (Birthplace, years lived, burial) Write what about the piece you chose to recreate captured your attention and why this artist appealed to your senses. Use MLA style guide for citations. Describe the colors of the original and why you chose to use different colors for your recreation. Focus on Topic Content Knowledge Main Ideas and Details of Report	Excellent Work The report includes all information relevant to the topic. The student had all the information that was taught in class or required for assignment.	Good Work The report includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.	Fair Work Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand.	Needs improvement The report is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.
Work Quality/Effort	Excellent Work The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good Work The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project and presentation.	Fair Work Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Needs improvement Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Writing Student uses the passé composé (French 2) and other French vocabulary and grammar.	Excellent Work Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas using correct French writing and grammar.	Good Work The writing was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project and presentation. Some mistakes on the French writing and grammar.	Fair Work Writing is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. Lots of mistakes on the French writing and grammar.	Needs improvement It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete and not in French.
Research	Excellent Work Information is detailed and shows effort beyond the easiest entries found in an initial search.	Good Work The information is somewhat detailed. Effort is passable but not impressive.	Fair Work The research is weak. Minimal effort.	Needs improvement The research shows that the student either did not understand the project or did not put effort into the project.
Recreation piece	Excellent Work Care was taken with the artistic interpretation of the artist's original to either keep the original color scheme or switch it up to something more aesthetically pleasing to the recreator.	Good Work The artist's original piece is colored. Basic colors are used, no real attention is paid to shading or varying hues of color.	Fair Work The piece is partly finished, more or less colored in. No real effort has been put into this task.	Needs improvement The artwork is not colored or is missing all together.
Time management	Excellent Work The entire project is completed on the due date	Good Work The project is turned in 1-2 days late	Fair Work The project is turned in 3-4 days late	Needs improvement The project is turned in 5 or more days late.
