Statement is clear and provides interest for the reader.	2 Contains a topic sentence, yet does not effectively restate the question. AND /OR Statement is semi-clear and provides little interest for the reader.	1 Does not contain a topic sentence, or effectively restate the question. AND /OR Statement is unclear and provides no interest for the reader.
Details from Text Uses "show me the evidence" to show details from the text	3 Three or more sentence staters from "Show me the evidence" are used to show details from the text. The details from the text clearly and completely support the response to the question.	2 Two sentence starters from "Show me the evidence" are used to show details from the text. The details somewhat support and respond to the question.	1 One or zero sentence starters from "Show me the evidence" are used to show details from the text. The detail only slightly supports and responds to the question or has no connection or support the response.
