Utilizing theories and practices we covered in the class prepare yourself for facilitating an experiential activities session from start to finish that outlines all the things that you need to think about and do to make sure that the experience is successful for both you and your participants. Additionally assimilate all the knowledge from class and provide an insight into what you learned and how you will use it in the future. This paper should be a reflection of the course and how prepared/knowledgeable you are as a facilitator. There is no length requirement, but I DO want a comprehensive paper that addresses course concepts and theories. This is your final exam.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE PAPER Research a prominent leader on your own, bring two possible leader choices to class on January 26. You need to bring 2 copies to class each due date. Final to be submitted to BB. i) 1 page description of the person, role, leadership style Due: February 2nd ii) 1 page description and analysis of the leadership context, power Due: February 21 iii) 4 page synthesis of your understanding of how specific leadership theories and concepts relate to your leader. If you would like me to review a rough draft I need 2 weeks. Due: April 12 iv) Final Paper: minimum 6 pages of your text, plus a title sheet and bibliographic references cited page in APA 6th edition format. Due: April 24

Choose 2 full-length articles or read one of the three suggested that reviews research on the development of social skills in students with autism from a recent issue (last 8 years) of a scholarly journal.

Students choose a speaker or movie from a choice presented by the instructor, and then writes a a report to develop the leadership theme presented.

Choose a viewpoint and select an trend and/or challenge. Present on the effects of this trend/challenge on outdoor recreation, receiving of benefits, users, user groups, the industry, and you as a recreation leader/professional.

Research the approved topic. Submit one 2-3 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following APA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing at least 3 resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the thesis, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Begin by defining recreation then outdoor recreation drawn from many sources and what it means to people and you. Define outdoor recreation in your own words. Next find journal articles or reports that contain information on the benefits (physical, psychological, societal, ecological, economical, etc.) of outdoor recreation about the benefits of outdoor recreation to individuals, groups, and society. This paper should be a minimum of 5 pages with 5 valid sources.
