Social Studies Project / Presentation Social Studies Project / Presentation Students will research information on a group that moved to the West in the 1800s. Students will present a mini-skit to show the reasons the group moved to the West, the hardships they faced, and the legacies they left. Content	Exceeds Standard The mini-skit includes all required facts: reasons the group moved West, hardships they faced, and legacies they left.	Meets Standard Mini-skit includes most relevant information; information is organized.	Below Standard Does not have all of the required facts and the mini-skit is a bit disorganized.	Poor The mini-skit is lacking in facts required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work quality/effort	Exceeds Standard The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Meets Standard Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.	Below Standard Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention.	Poor Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Presentation	Exceeds Standard The student is well-prepared, presents the information clearly, and displays a complete understanding of the information.	Meets Standard The student presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information.	Below Standard The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project.	Poor Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It lacks the expected organization and flow.
