Poster rubric 
The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed online or on large paper. The student is required to present their poster to the class and teacher.

The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.

Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand.
Good

Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.
Exceeds

The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student included 5W, H and interesting fact.
Work quality/effort

Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete. Grammar and spelling take away from quality of the work.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. Many grammar and spelling errors.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation. A few grammar or spelling errors.
Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
No spelling or grammar errors.
Creativity

Poor

Lacks original artwork. Not students own drawing/writing. Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color, texture.
Fair

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Most of the drawings/writing is the student's own.
Good

Contains students own writing and drawing.Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece.
Exceeds

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. Artwork is neat. Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through art.
Presentation

Poor

The student is not rehearsed and cannot present their poster without reading directly from it. They do not make eye contact with the audience. They do not have good pacing, annunciation and volume.
Fair

The student is not well rehearsed and cannot present their poster without reading directly from it. They do not make eye contact with the audience. They have some pacing, annunciation and volume.
Good

The student is rehearsed and can mostly present their poster without reading directly from it. They stand at the front and attempt to make eye contact with the audience. They have good pacing, annunciation and volume.
Exceeds

The student is well rehearsed and can present their poster without reading directly from it. They stand confidently at the front and make eye contact with the audience. They have great pacing, annunciation and volume.
