Patient Education - Diabetes, HTN, COPD 
The student will prepare a 5 minute education intervention related to educating patients about diabetes, hypertension, or COPD. The project should include etiology, complications, physical therapy treatments, and secondary prevention concepts. The education intervention will contain information that the student collected during research of the class text and a reliable medical web site.

-The presentation is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Clear presentation with some interaction.

-The presentation has some pictures, however they are not relevant to the content. -Some mistakes are made. -Little organization and clarity is used.
-There is little style and is more like a list of facts rather than an interaction.

-The presentation lacks focus and clarity. Information and pictures are not related to the topic. Very little interaction with patient.

Excellent

Project effectively addresses the health literacy needs of the patient and presents information in a way the patient can best understand.
Good

Project addresses the health literacy needs of the patient. 50% of the information presented at a level too high or low for the patient.
Fair

Project does not effectively address the health literacy needs of the patient. 75% of the Information presented at a level too high or low for the patient.
Poor

Patient health literacy issues not considered.
