Ethos Pathos Logos Visual Presentation Project Ethos Pathos Logos Visual Presentation Project Students will display their understanding of the persuasive appeals by creating an advertisement to promote ethos, logos, and pathos. Students must write 1 paragraph per appeal explaining how they demonstrated that appeal in their advertisement. 	Poor 5 pts	Fair 10 pts	Exceeds 15 pts
Content Knowledge	Poor Ad does not clearly identify the three appeals/or they are incorrect.	Fair Ad uses at least two appeals correctly.	Exceeds Ad correctly uses the three persuasive appeals.
Work quality/effort	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner has an understanding of the persuasive appeal used.
Creativity	Poor Not good use of space on ad. Messy. Lacks color.	Fair Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not a lot of color/design.	Exceeds Eye catching. Great use of colors and spacing on poster. Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through rhetorical appeals.
Paper	Poor Not 5 Paragraph MLA. Does not include description of ethos, pathos, logos. Pts. not easily understood.	Fair Includes 2 of 3 devices. Contains some errors that prevents easy understanding.	Exceeds Clearly articulates all 3 devices. Well-written and free of errors that cause misunderstandig.
