Poster Presentation Rubric 
The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the teacher. The poster will be designed on chart paper. The students are required to present their poster to the class and teacher.

Level 1

The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.
Level 2

Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand.
Level 3

Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.
Level 4

The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was taught in class or required for assignment.
Work quality/effort

Level 1

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Level 2

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Level 3

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Level 4

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity

Level 1

Lacks graphics. Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color.
Level 2

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design.
Level 3

Shows some creativity with layout and design. Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Has a picture or two to help understand the topic.
Level 4

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. creative layout and design. Writing is easy to read from a few feet away. Has several pictures to enhance understanding.
Oral presentation

Level 1

Reads off poster during entire presentation and cannot be heard or understood well. No or almost no eye contact with audience.
Level 2

Reads off poster during most of the presentation. Is difficult to hear or understand at times. Very little eye contact with audience.
Level 3

Speaks clearly and loud enough, but has to turn back to class to read off the poster. Some eye contact with audience.
Level 4

Speaks clearly and loud enough to be easily heard in the back row. Speaks toward the class. Does not need to read off poster. Has eye contact with audience during whole presentation.
