Printing Press/Internet Poster rubric

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board.

Practitioner Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood..	Expert The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was taught in class or required for assignment.
Work quality/effort	Novice Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Messy. Work is incomplete.	Practitioner The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.	Expert The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. Writing is easy to read. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity	Novice No images/drawings/diagrams on poster. No good use of space on poster. Lacks color, texture.	Practitioner Contains students own writing and contains images/drawings/diagrams.Good use of space.	Expert Eye catching. Great use of colors/images/drawings/diagrams, and spacing on poster. Artwork is placed neatly on poster.
