Poster rubric Poster rubric The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The student will interview someone and find the ways they use math eveyday. The poster should be colorful, creative and have examples of math in words and pictures. The poster is to be done on a full sheet of poster board. Use of Math	Below Basic The student did not use correct formula. The calculations were inaccurate. More than 2 required circle components were missing or mislabeled.	Basic The student misused some of the formulas. Some calculations were incorrect. 2 required circle components are missing or mislabeled.	Proficient The student correctly used formulas and calculations are accurate. Only 1 required circle components is missing or mislabeled.	Mastery All formulas are used properly and calculations are correct. All required circle components are present and labeled correctly.
Creativity	Below Basic Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color, information. Lacks original company name and/or slogan	Basic Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design.	Proficient Lots of colors,and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece. Created original/unique company name.	Mastery Eye catching. Great use of colors, and spacing on poster. Artwork is neat and writing is easy to read. Original/unique/creative company name and slogan. Great job!
Neatness	Below Basic The poster is confusing, disorganized, and messy.	Basic Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.	Proficient The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster meets all the basic requirements and is original.	Mastery The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was required for assignment.
