Human Impact Poster Project

The students will work independently to create a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student.

Content Knowledge	Poor The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing. There is only 1 fact stated.	Fair Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand. There is 2-3 facts stated.	Good Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized or easily understood.There are only 4 facts stated.	Exceeds The poster includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was taught in class or required for assignment. The five facts are clearly stated.
Slogan/Saying	Poor The poster has no slogan or saying.	Fair The poster has a saying or slogan that is relevant, but is not original.	Good The poster has a slogan or saying that is relevant to the topic displayed.	Exceeds The poster has a creative and well thought out slogan or saying.
Defined Vocabulary Word	Poor The poster has no defined vocabulary word.	Fair The poster has a vocabulary word defined copied straight from the dictionary without explanation.	Good The poster has a vocabulary word defined, but the definition is not worded where students will understand it.	Exceeds The poster has at least one vocabulary word defined so that all can understand its meaning.
Pictures	Poor The poster has no pictures that are relevant to the topic.	Fair The poster has pictures but they are not relevant to the topic.	Good The poster has at least one picture that is relevant to the topic.	Exceeds The poster contains at least two pictures that are relevant to the topic.
Work quality/effort	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
