Students will work independently to create a poster highlighting a historical figure or event from the Renaissance, Reformation, or Age of Exploration. Each poster must include a 250 word writing prompt explaining your poster and the reason why you chose to highlight this historical figure. Each poster will also be graded on its aesthetic presentation. Writing prompts must be submitted on Google Docs only.

The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.
Writing Prompt

Writing prompt meets word requirement and is of excellent quality.
Average

Writing prompt meets word requirement and is of average quality.
Below Average

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. creative layout and design. Writing is easy to read from a few feet away. Has several pictures to enhance understanding.

Shows some creativity with layout and design. Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Has a picture or two to help understand the topic.
Below Average

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design.
Poor

Lacks graphics. Not good use of space on poster. Messy. Lacks color.

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the student is proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.

The work was done with good effort that shows what the student is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Below Average

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the student is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the student is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
