Poster/Project rubric

The students will work on their own to put together a poster for display. The poster will contain relevant information directly related to the topic selected by the student. The poster should have areas segmented that directly reflect the outline created by the student. The poster will be designed on either poster board (full-sized poster board) or tri fold poster board. The student is required to explain their poster to the class and teacher

Content Knowledge	Poor The poster/Presentation is lacking elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.	Fair Does not have all of the relevant information for the chosen topic. There is not enough information presented. Information presented in an unorganized fashion and is hard to understand.	Good Poster/Presentation includes all relevant information; however, it is not much more than the basics. It could use a little more info to make it perfect	Exceeds The poster/Presentation includes all information relevant to the topic. The poster is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was taught in class or required for assignment.
Work quality/effort	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Creativity	Poor Lacks original artwork or personal touch. Not students own drawing/writing/words. Not good use of space on poster./Presentation Messy. Lacks color, texture, etc.	Fair Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Most of the drawings/writing is the student's own.	Good Contains students own writing and drawing.Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic piece.	Exceeds Eye catching.
