Substance Abuse PowerPoint rubric

The students will put together a Powerpoint for a presentation to their classmates. The PP will contain relevant information according to instructions.

Content Knowledge Includes explanation of substance that was researched. How this substance affects them socially, mentally and how it affects the family. Are there legal implications of using this drug.	Level 1 The PP is lacking more than two elements required. There are many gaps in information	Level 2 All but two of the relevant information is included on the PP.	Level 3 PP includes all relevant information except for one element; Is fairly well-organized.	Level 4 The PP includes all information relevant to the topic. The student added information above what was required from planning sheet.
Creativity	Level 1 Lacks original graphics. Not good use of space on PP. Messy. Lacks color, texture.	Level 2 Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Most of the images/writing is very plain.	Level 3 Contains students own writing and creative choice of images.Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. S	Level 4 Eye catching. Class Quiz	Level 1 No Quiz was provided	Level 2 Many questions were not related to Powerpoint presentation. Did not include 10 True/False 5 MC and 2 short answers	Level 3 Questions were well thought out and usually related to information presented in the presentation. Quiz included most elements discussed in class.	Level 4 Questions were well though out and related to information presented. Questions were challenging and thought provoking. Quiz included all elements discussed in class.
Graphics	Level 1 No Graphics included in project to help enhance the project. Maybe included inappropriate graphics.	Level 2 Some graphics were included but don't really help get a feel for the topic.	Level 3 Most graphics are related to topic and help the audience to understand the subject matter.	Level 4 Many graphics used and helped to enhance the PP and understnaing of the topic. The audience can get the feel and thorough understanding of subject from graphics.
Presentation	Level 1 Presenters had no knoweldge of the project.	Level 2 Presenters had some knowledge of project but was not very vocal during the project presentation.	Level 3 Presenters had good knoweldge of the project and could be heard by audience.	Level 4 Presenters did a great job with delivering PP presentation and subject matter and had a great presentation voice.
