Origin Story & Powers Story Element based Superhero/Villain Origin Story The student will create a superhero origin story to explain where they came from and how their superhero acquired their powers. Project content	Exceeds The project includes all information required and is relevant to the topic in an organized and consistent fashion.	Good Project includes all information required; however, it is not well-organized or consistent.	Fair Does not have all of the required information. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion	Poor The project is lacking a majority of the information required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work quality/effort	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this story.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Style/Mechanics	Exceeds The origin story has an element of creativity and style. Includes both backstory and acquiring powers. The project is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding. Minimal grammar/spelling mistakes are present	Good The project is clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes (Less than 5)	Fair The project lacks style and creativity. The project lacks neatness and clarity. There are many errors present (6-10).	Poor The project lacks a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are several errors (More than 10). Project is not creative.
Superhero	Exceeds The story shows creativity and the superhero's history of existence. The powers and attitude of the character make sense in terms of concept design (original superhero plan)	Good The story is somewhat creative and is based on the original ideas presented. The powers and attitude of the character make sense based on the origin story.	Fair The story lacks creativity and is vaguely connected to original ideas.	Poor The story is not creative at all and has random information.
