Working in groups, create a television news broadcast video with iMovie, TikTok, or Windows Movie Maker. News broadcast must be 5 minutes in length and include anchor report, news story, weather, and sports segment. Students should use titles, images, video, voice over, and transitions.

The students will work with a partner and put together a poster or a brochure. The poster will be designed on poster board (1/2 or full-sized poster board).

In partners students will choose 10 candy hearts from the 18 provided to write a 2 stanza, 5 line poem with at least 8 rhyming words. Each student must write one stanza and present it to the class as well. Please be very creative and originality is welcome.

The student will make a map of the United states on a poster board and draw icons differentiating the habitual regions as well as animals and plants that live there. They will present the poster board to the class and further explain facts about the regions and animals

Formative Assessment

The students will work independently or in groups of two. Students will design a power point and or poster for display, or other project and presentation approved by the teacher. The power point and poster will contain relevant information directly related to the theme chosen by student. Students will provide information on their chosen topic in a creative and colorful poster and or power point presentation.

Presentational Writing

To create a visual demonstration of your daily routine – what you do from the moment you wake up, until you go back to bed – demonstrating your knowledge of reflexive verbs. The purpose of the assignment is to demonstrate the your understanding of the use of reflexive verbs, and when and how to use them correctly. The narrative should include specific times of day at which the events occur, transition words to help the scenes "flow," and use correct grammar and vocabulary.
