Expectation: Assess the effectiveness of various ways of mitigating the negative and enhancing the positive impact of human activities on the environment. Design an advertisement to encourage people to protect the environment.

Research the Seven Sacraments and write a description / explanation for each Sacrament. You will then research images for each Sacrament and explain the significance for each. Then for each sacrament explain why one would receive each sacrament.

Students are to create an advertisement based on ten (10) positive/appropriate ways to deal with stopping harassment.

Research a Canadian hero. Biography should include important details of figure's life and the contributions he/she made during their lifetime. The biography will be written on this person including personal information, qualities, and contributions. Also, includes a descriptive definition on what a hero entails.

Assessment for Poetry Booklet/Slideshow. Turn in you completed poetry presentation once completed. It MUST consist of 13 poems in total ( 7 different types). Here is a list of the different types of poems that should be included: 2 ABC/Alphabet poems, 2 Cinquains, 2 Diamantes, 2 Haikus-based on nature, 2 Tankas one based on birthdays, 2 Quatrains with two different rhyming patterns and 1 Sonnet based on the theme of school.

Students will give an informative speech on a topic of their choice to their peers. Student will be assessed on content and delivery and will use researched information in their speech

Students will be able to identify seven different forms of figurative language by creating a figurative language booklet/slideshow based on the theme of WINTER.

Research the approved topic and question. Submit double spaced, 14 point TNR font following MLA guidelines. Include a bibliography citing resources used researching the paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.
