How much Effort am I putting forth? What Does My Grade Look Like? The following rubric is so students can chart their effort and participation in Class. Students should use this rubric often to keep track of how they are performing and the grade they can expect to earn. Rubric Code: ZXXCWW7 By lorrilewis Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: English Type: Presentation Grade Levels: 9-12

Effort/Participation What students contributes to the class.	F Doesn't participate in classwork or discussions.	C- C Student is slow to participate and contribute.	C+ B Should participate in class discussions more.	A Constantly active in participation and contributes for 90% or more of class time.
Cooperation Students should be able to get along with others, share and listen to ideas, and follow class rules.	F Does not follow directions and rules. Argues with classmates or teacher. Does not cooperate with or help other classmates when doing group work. Distracts others often.	C- C Usually follows directions and rules but needs to cooperate more with teacher and/or classmates. Minimal interaction with others during group work.	C+ B Follows directions and rules for the majority of class. Listens to and shares ideas. Does not distract others from learning.	A Follows directions and rules entire class time. Encourages other students to learn. Listens to and shares ideas. Does not distract others from learning.
Critical/Creative Thinking Be able to think clearly and logically to solve problems and form conclusions based on observations and evidence.	F Demonstrates no evidence of clear thought or knowledge of content. Shows no evidence of being able to think critically or use observations to make conclusions.	C- C Demonstrates some evidence of clear thought and has knowledge of content. Needs to use observations more to form conclusions about content.
