Immigrant Group	Poor The students has a one-sided, underdeveloped perspective on the immigrant group that does not show near enough detail.	Fair The student has not developed their topic enough to show the important details about their immigrant group.	Acceptable The student shows most of the 6Ws and provides adequate detail and depth.	Great The student has fully covered who, what, when, where, and why. It is clear how the immigrant group influenced and was influenced by ethical issues.	Excellent The student has woven together a powerful story that explores the various issues that their immigrant group faced, particularly religion, language, and culture.
Research	Poor Has little to no credible sources to validate their information.	Fair Lacks a few sources or does not have credible sources.	Acceptable Is missing some sources or does not have all credible source.	Great Has just enough credible resources to validate their information.	Excellent Has more than enough credible resources to validate their information, including primary sources.
Visual	Poor The visual is underdeveloped, unclear, disheveled, unoriginal, and/or lacking a proper format.	Fair The visual is mostly clear but is confusing, unoriginal, and/or missing details.	Acceptable Visual is fair, but may be lacking some elements or originality/creativity.	Great Visual is well-develop, organized appropriately, and original.	Excellent Visual is creative, highly detailed, unique, and clearly shows the development of immigration. The visual can be seamlessly expanded to include future elements as the course progresses.
Ethics	Poor It is unclear what ethical issues affected Canadians from 1800-1914.	Fair There is some indication of the ethical issues, but not enough details to fully understand the big picture.	Acceptable There is enough detail to understand various ethical issues in Canada.	Great The student has clearly shown how various ethical issues affected Canadians in the 1800s and 1900s.	Excellent The student has shown a detailed series of events focusing on inequality, identity, minority, white privilege, and alienation. It is clear what local, national, and international issues affected Canadians in the 1800s and 1900s.
