Compare/Contrast: 2 Stories RL5.3 
The purpose of this rubric is to allow the younger student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. The student will compare and contrast the story Visions of Mars by Nancy Finton with the poem We'll Walk On Mars Someday. In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, specific vocabulary words, read the book and viewed the movie.
