Regional Dialect Voicethread
	Distinguished 4 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Apprentice 2 pts	Novice 1 pts
Summary	Distinguished A written summary is provided that includes examples of regional dialect. A comprehensive explanation of how dialect varies from their own is included.	Proficient Written summary is mostly complete and tells the listener about how dialects are different. Examples are provided.	Apprentice Written summary is partly complete but could have been more interesting. Little to no correlation is present of how dialect varies from their own.	Novice Summary is incomplete and does not tell the listener how dialects vary.
Voice	Distinguished Recording is clear, audible, coherent and interesting. Regional dialect is present and understood.	Proficient Recording is clear but one of the following factors could have been refined; audible, dialect in correct "voice" or register.	Apprentice Recording was hastily completed. It appears that the team did not put much thought into the project.	Novice Recording was unclear or not interesting enough to engage the listener. No proof is present that research was completed.
Geography	Distinguished Students are able to locate on a map where the dialect they have studied may be found and can identify the region by name.	Proficient Students are able to locate on a map where the dialect they have studied may be found but either cannot identify the region or knows it by name.	Apprentice Student failed to identify the region by name.	Novice Is not able to show on a map where the dialect may be found.
Time	Distinguished Voicethread is 3 minutes long.	Proficient Voicethread is less than 3 minutes long.	Apprentice Voicethread is less than 2 minutes long.	Novice Voicethread is less than 1 minute long.
