"Farce"book Character Page
Students will read a biography/autobiography or memoir then create a Facebook page for their subject, demonstrating understanding of the character and their life. Profile will be neat and complete, with multiple pictures.

Oral Presentation- Nonfiction Book Report
Students will give a short oral presentation to the class on their nonfiction book using note cards. They will give the title of the book, author, and at least 8 or more interesting facts. Following their presentation they will answer two questions to clarify listeners' questions. As a listener themselves, they will not distract others or cause any disturbance while a peer is presenting.

Name, date, and period in upper right corner. Times New Roman, double-space and 12 font. 1. Title, author and complete description of the main characters. 2. Descriptive settings should be included (When/where the story take place?). 3. Main events are included (What happened in the story?). 4. Why did you like or dislike the book? 5. Would you recommend this book to your classmates. 6. Includes a summary of the author's overall message and/or the theme of the book.

Made for the Movies! Poster Rubric
Pretend your book has been made into a movie. Create a POSTER to advertise your "movie"(book). Your poster should be easy to read from 30 feet away. Be creative. DO NOT COPY the book's cover...this will result in a grade of zero. Also avoid, sloppy picture and lettering, colors that do not work together, late work, and lack of effort. Posters will not have white space unless it is a part of the picture (whites of people's eyes, teeth, etc)
