CPR First Aid Presentation Rubric

The students will put together a Powerpoint for a presentation presented to their classmates. The PP will contain relevant information according to instructions.

Content Knowledge 10 pts Define subject, detailed information, points of interest, hotlines available	POOR The PP is lacking more than two elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Confusing.	FAIR All but two of the relevant information is included on the PP. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion and may be hard to understand.	GOOD PP includes all relevant information except for one element; Is fairly well-organized.	EXCELLENT JOB The PP includes all information relevant to the topic.The PP is creative, clear and concise. The student added information above what was required from planning sheet.
Creativity 10 pts Use of video made topic interesting.	POOR Lacks original graphics. Not good use of space on PP. Messy. Lacks color, texture.	FAIR Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not alot of color/shapes/design. Most of the images/writing is very plain.	GOOD Contains students own writing and creative choice of images.Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating an artistic PP.	EXCELLENT JOB Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. Images are thought porvoking & is extremely neat. Writing is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through art.
Format/presentation 5 pts precautions, assessment, warnings, action, take care	POOR not on required PP and/or submitted late. Many Pieces/items incomplete.	FAIR PP is poorly presented. PP was possibly submitted later than original due date. Some items incomplete.	GOOD PP is correct format, and neatly displayed. No items missing. Submitted on due date.	EXCELLENT JOB PP is of exceptional quality as is presentation. Nothing missing. Submitted on time.
Use of Class Time 10 pts not disturbing anyone, not sleeping, getting work done	POOR Did not use class time to focus on the PP OR often distracted others.	FAIR Used some of the time well during each class period. There was some focus on getting the PP done but occasionally was distracted or distracted others.	GOOD Used time well during each class period. Usually focused on getting the PP done. Usually didn't get distracted by others.	EXCELLENT JOB Used all class time well. Always stayed focused and on task.
Graphics 10 pts Transitions movement of slides Pictures	POOR No Graphics included in project to help enhance the project. Maybe included inappropriate graphics.	FAIR Some graphics were included but don't really help get a feel for the topic.	GOOD Most graphics are related to topic and help the audience to understand the subject matter.	EXCELLENT JOB Many graphics used and helped to enhance the PP and understnaing of the topic. The audience can get the feel and thorough understanding of subject from graphics.
Presentation 20 pts Didn't read from slides made eye contact with students faced the students	POOR Presenters had no knoweldge of the project.	FAIR Presenters had some knowledge of project but was not very vocal during the project presentation.	GOOD Presenters had good knoweldge of the project and could be heard by audience.	EXCELLENT JOB Presenters did a great job with delivering PP presentation and subject matter and had a great presentation voice.
