Immigration Project / Presentation 
This Webquest and subsequent presentation gives students a more comprehensive idea regarding immigration, assimilation, and the cultural melting pot that is America. They will also become aware of the cultures and political situations around the world. Their final presentation (a live or taped interview segment between an immigrant an newscaster) will be graded based on the following rubric.

Presentation includes most relevant information; information is organized. May be lacking in specific detail or interesting points.
Partially Meets

Does not have all of the relevant information of the presentation. Information is disorganized. Some information may be incorrect or irrelevant to the topic.
Does Not Meet

The paper is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. Some or all of the information is incorrect or irrelevant.
Work quality/effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner. In-class work time was used efficiently.
Meets

Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project. In-class work time was used appropriately.
Partially Meets

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed or not given appropriate time and attention. Inappropriate use of in-class work time.
Does Not Meet

Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product. Inappropriate or no use of in-class work time.

The visual aids have an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner with full understanding of the subject.
Meets

The visual aids are clear and logical and contain facts with very few mistakes. Information is clear with fair understanding of the subject.
Partially Meets

The visual aids show some understanding of the subject matter, but contain errors. They lack style, neatness and/or clarity.
Does Not Meet

The visual aids do not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Presentation

Exceeds

The students pair are well-prepared, present the information clearly, and display a complete understanding of the information. Speakers are well-rehearsed and speak loudly and clearly.
Meets

The students presents the information clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information. It is evidence that the presentation was rehearsed.
Partially Meets

The information presented is not clearly displayed consistently throughout the project. Speakers lacked rehearsal, made evident by several mistakes.
Does Not Meet

Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information. It is evident that there was very little to no rehearsal for this presentation.
Notes

Exceeds

Notes taken have been completed thoroughly, which is reflected by detailed notes and bibliography. All materials have been submitted in a neat and orderly manner.
Meets

Notes and bibliography are complete but could be more thorough and detailed. All have been submitted.
Partially Meets

Notes have been completed, but lack depth and understanding.
Does Not Meet

Notes have not been completed.
