PowerPoint Presentation Rubric

This rubric is meant to help guide in the creation of your research and PowerPoint presentation project. Each category in the far left column represents a component of the project that will be taken into consideration when composing the final grade for this assignment. Review the rubric carefully before, during and after the creation of the PowerPoint presentation, to ensure that all intended elements of your destination have been represented and all other criteria have been met.

All components are present that the group decided were important.	Very Good Slides contain information relevant to the disaster. Content includes General information is used as content support.	Basic Slides contain minimal information on the disaster. Research is evident, but more material is needed. Content does not include details.	Unsatisfactory Slides do not contain relevant information.<BR> The disaster is addressed but not discussed or elaborated on.
Graphics	Exemplary Slides are attractive. Text is legible. No grammatical errors. Graphics and effects are used throughout to enhance presentation. Information is at the advanced level and consistently supports images.	Very Good Slides are legible. Text is legible. Few to no grammatical errors. Half the slides have graphics or effects. Information supports images. Some technology used within slides to enhance materials.	Basic Slides are legible. Amount of text is too great for the amount of space provided. Some grammatical errors. Less than half the slides have graphics or effects. Information supports images at times. Little to no use of media.	Unsatisfactory The slides are not legible. The amount of text is too great for the space provided. There are many grammatical errors. There is little use of graphics or effects. The information does not consistently support images. No evidence of media used to enhance the materials of slides.
Presentation/Organization	Exemplary The presentation is well coordinated. All material is presented using language that is original. Speaker is well informed and elaborates beyond the displayed material.	Very Good The presenter makes consistent eye contact with the audience. Speaker is clear, and presents information beyond the displayed material.	Basic The presenter makes minimal eye contact with the audience. Most information is read directly from the screen or page.
