Totem Pole Totem Pole The student will design and construct a totem pole using symbols or images that represent his/her characteristics based on Native American legends. The symbols or images presented must be presented using paper sculpture techniques. Work quality/effort	Excellent The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Totem Pole	Excellent The totem pole has an element of creativity and style. Students shows mastery of paper sculpture techniques.	Good The totem pole is clear and logical and contains very few mistakes. Students shows understanding of paper sculpture techniques.	Fair The totem pole shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors. It lacks style, neatness and clarity. Students shows little understanding of 3D of paper sculpture techniques.	Poor The totem pole does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.Students shows no use of paper sculpture techniques.
