Poetic Term Research Project Poetic Term Research Project Students are to create their own poetic device dictionary. The dictionary will include a definition of the poetic device, example of the device used in a poem, and a picture that represents the poetic device. Poetic Device	Excellent The word is spelled correctly and prominently displayed on presentation.	Developing The word is spelled incorrectly on the presentation but is recognizable.	Unacceptable Where's the word?
Definition	Excellent Definition is represented accurately.	Developing Definition is close, but not completely represented accurately.	Unacceptable Definition is completely incorrect.
Example for Literature	Excellent Poetic example accurately represents the term and its definition.	Developing Poetic example is close, but does not represent the term completely accurately.	Unacceptable Poetic example is incorrect.
Picture	Excellent The picture shows what the literary device means and does a good job of illustrating the literary device.	Developing There is a picture, but it doesn't provide the clear meaning of the literary device.	Unacceptable There is no picture or the picture does not illustrate the meaning of the literary device.
Use of Class Time	Excellent Used class time wisely to complete assignment with little or no distractions.	Developing Little Use of Classtime; had conversation and off track just a bit.	Unacceptable No Use of Class Time; talked or horseplayed.
