The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. We changed the normal 3 body paragraphs to possibly 2 paragraphs if all contrasts were in one paragraph and explained, and all comparisons were in a paragraph and explained.
