Students will create an advertising poster that contains all relevant information. Students will provide a creative and colorful poster designed on the computer to be printed and displayed on posterboard. The poster should address the following questions: - What is the name of the program and what is it about? - When? - Who is this for? - Why is it happening? - What are the benefits? - How can a student enter?

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project.

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Failing

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.

Eye catching. Great use of colors, texture, shapes, and spacing on poster. Artwork is the student's own & is neat. Text is easy to read. Shows the student can express ideas through art.

Contains student's own art work and design. Lots of colors, shapes, and appealing design. Shows the student spent time creating and designing the poster.
Needs Improvement

Not very appealing. Limited use of creative materials. Not a lot of color/shapes/design. Most of the artwork is the student's own.
Failing

Lacks original artwork. Does not make good use of space on the poster. Messy. Lacks color.

Poster is of exceptional quality and presentation.
Proficient

Poster is correct size, clean and neatly displayed.
Needs Improvement

Poster board is damaged or poorly presented.
Failing

Poster is not on required poster board.
