Presentation: Oral

Approaching expectations

An attempt was made at presenting the Volcano Poster Project in front of the class. Little to no eye contact was made, and voice level was low or inaudible. Student was unable to explain project to other students in an acceptable manner. Student could not easily answer questions about his/her volcano.
Minimally meets expectations

Student was able to present their Volcano Poster Project, and explain the project in a basic but understandable manner to the other students in the class. The presentation contained all of the necessary information, but lacked enthusiasm, vocal cues, and adequate eye contact. The student could answer some of the student generated questions about their Volcano, but had to rely heavily on the information from the poster project.
Meets expectations

Volcano Poster Project presentation was completed in a confident manner with good voice level and eye contact. The information given about the project was interesting and thorough. The student was able to answer most of the student generated questions about his/her Volcano with confidence. Overall the student gave a very good oral presentation.
Exceeds expectations

The student gave a fantastic oral presentation that centered around their Volcano Poster Project. They were engaging with the other students, kept wonderful eye contact, and voice level throughout the entire presentation. The student was very knowledgeable about their specific Volcano and could easily answer any and all student generated questions asked. The student added interesting/little known facts as a WoW factor!
