Participation	Poor Did not participate in class discussions. Did not support peers. Did not complete all assignments.	Fair Demonstrated two of the participation expectations listed in the "Excellent" column.	Good Demonstrated three of the participation expectations listed in the "Excellent" column.	Excellent Researched 5 poets sharing birthday month. Shared the information with group. Supported peers through creating, revising, and editing the calendar. Completed all steps of the assignment.
Poet Research	Poor 1 or 2 poets reserached. Some parts of the "Excellent" column completed.	Fair 3 poets researched and most parts of "Excellent" column completed.	Good 4 poets researched and all parts of "Excellent" column completed.	Excellent 5 poets full names. Birthday and birthplace included. Parents and/or siblings listed. 2 or 3 poems with publication information.
Creativity	Poor Calendar is missing parts. Little creativity shown. Either vision of poet, month or both missing.	Fair Calendar is complete, but lacking creativity. Design is missing either the vision of the poet or the month.	Good Calendar is creative. Most of it completed on the computer. Design represents vision of the poet and the month. Poems adequately displayed.	Excellent Calendar is expertly created using the computer. Design represents clear vision of the poet and the month. Poems decoratively displayed.
