Students have been asked to prepare a short 1 minute speech on a specific topic and present it in front of the class.

Student will be graded on the following areas of the project. To receive full credit in the "Topic Criteria" section, student must have all ten topics covered within their project. These topics include: flag, demographics, location of country, language, native rituals, online design of country map, country history, and the language of the students country.

Students will compose a 750 word double-spaced, typed essay that explores one of the essential themes in The Crucible: Fear, Privacy, Choice, Power. Students will explore how the Author depicts these themes through the actions of the characters. Students will support their claims with quotations from the text.

This rubric is a 4 point scale designed to assess a portfolio evaluative essay for Advanced Writing.

Research a problem of your choice using primary sources. Submit one 5-7 page typed paper, double spaced, 12 point font following APA guidelines. Include APA referencing format and abstract citing at least 5 resources used researching this paper. Paper will be graded on quality of research to support the topic, effective use of information gained through research, credibility of sources, content, grammar and mechanics, and bibliography.

Students will watch the movie version of Julius Caesar and compare its effectiveness to Shakespeare's play version.

Students will choose from the fishbowl, prepare for 4 minutes, and then deliver a two minute speech.

You will be conducting research about a chosen poet and several of his or her poems. This research will be presented in an informative speech including a well researched biography, the poems, and an artistic represenation.
