Compare/Contrast Essay: Story to movie 
The purpose of this rubric is to allow the student to know what the expectations are for writing a comparing/contrasting essay. The student will compare and contrast the short story, "The Lottery" to the movie, "The Hunger Games". In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, specific vocabulary words, read the story and viewed the movie.
