Essay may address, but not completely answer, Yali's question.	1 Below Basic Essay includes an incomplete summary and does not address connections to our modern political world and/or answer Yali's Question.
Supporting Detail Sentence	4 Advanced Extensive use of evidence from book illuminates and enhances essay	3 Proficient Essay makes use of evidence in book to support all parts of essay.	2 Basic Essay attempts to use evidence to enhance essay but some of the evidence may be incorrectly interpreted and applied.	1 Below Basic Essay makes little or no use of evidence to support answer or may only use opinion, rather than evidence from book, to support answer
