Mastery

Creative attention-getter. Clearly outline the titles of both the film and the book, provides a brief summary of each story and states thesis.

Each paragraph identifies and lucidly explains an idea and supports with evidence from both the film and the book. Analysis is strong and well-supported as to WHY the film-maker and/or author made the choices they did when creating the text.

The essay resorts to retelling of each story instead of analyzing similarities and differences. Analysis is poor or not included.
