Prepared for classwork Books, devices, equipment, worksheets	Instructional Student is not ready when class begins. Student frequent prompts to borrow/find supplies needed to complete required tasks. Student has to be reminded more than once to put away or get out needed material.	Emerging Student is ready when teacher calls on/checks me. I usually have supplies needed to complete required tasks. Student follows instructions and only needed one reminder to put away or get out material.	Independent Student is ready for class without reminders and have supplies needed to complete tasks. Student needed no reminders to manage materials.

Independent Student demonstrates an effective understanding of assertive self advocacy, passive self advocacy and aggressive self advocacy. Student can display positive behavior when self-advocating (i.e.tone, volume, timing, etc.) and can do so without adult assistance.
