Poor

Students description. list of signs and symptoms, and risk factors are missing, very confusing, or significantly incomplete.
Biological Explanation

Excellent

Thorough description of disorder's (or disease's) affect on the body. (e.g. portion of the integument affected, mechanism of action of disease). Information is accurate and very informative. Project shows depth of understanding of disease/disorder studied.

Report is mostly thorough with strong information regarding disease/disorder biological explanation. Information accurate and informative. Minimal errors. Good understanding of disease/disorder studied. Shows for the most part accurate research.

Excellent

Student has provided a thorough description of how the condition is diagnosed and treated. Condition is well researched so that student could put him/herself in "someone else’s shoes" to explain ways the condition/disease affects the functioning of the person in daily life.

Student clearly describes diagnosis and treatment of condition. Student has a good description of several ways in which the condition impacts the person in daily functioning.
Fair

Student does not present thorough information for diagnosis and treatment of condition.
Student has identified a couple of ways the condition impacts daily functioning.

Presentation is fairly organized, slightly engaging. Very little of the following: eye contact, reading from a paper, varied/engaging tone.
Poor

Presentation is unclear, unorganized, unengaging, difficult to follow. Did not seem to know the material. Heavy reliance on notes. No eye contact, almost directly reading off of a slide or paper, very monotone.
PowerPoint and Video

Excellent development and use of visual aids. Slides contain reasonable amount of "white space" and do not contain too many words.

Lasts less than 3 or more than 8 minutes ; not devoted to content.
