Excellent Clearly describes the artwork in full detail.
Analysis 50 % Elements of Art, Principles of design	Poor Fails to correctly identify any of the elements of art or principles of design.	Fair Mentions one or two significant elements of art or principles of design used in the piece.	Good Discusses 2-4 of the elements of art and the principles of design used.	Excellent Defines 6 or more of the most significant elements of art and principles of design and how they are used in the piece.
Interpretation 20 % Raises questions about subject matter and art history.	Poor Does not give meaning or purpose to the art work.	Fair Draws meaning from personal observation rather than an educated assessment, but does not explain the purpose of the work.	Good Explains the purpose of the work and its content.
