The Totem Pole Project
	Excellent 25 pts	Good 21 pts	Fair 18 pts	Poor 17 pts
Work quality/effort	Excellent The work done exceeds all expectations. The effort put into this task is the best it can be by the learner. Student used their time durng class wisely and efficiently.	Good Work is done with good effort that shows the capability of the learner. It is evident that time was put into this project. Student used most of their class time appropriately.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. Studnets needed to use class timemore appropriately.	Poor Work is done with little effort, shows lack of quality, and may be incomplete. It is evident little time was spent on the final product.
Totem Pole	Excellent The totem pole has an element of creativity and style. Information is presented in a clear manner. Choice of medium is perfectly formed to represent totem symbols.	Good The totem pole is clear and logical and contains very few mistakes. The medium us use well to represent symbols.	Fair The totem pole shows some understanding of the subject matter, but contains errors. It lacks style, neatness and clarity.	Poor The totem pole does not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. It lacks neatness and clarity.

Painting or Glazing of clay	Excellent Painted entire piece neatly, no messy areas.	Good Paint is messy in 1-2 areas, or clay shows through in 1-2 areas.	Fair Painted only part of the piece, more than 1 or 2 messy areas.	Poor Did not paint entire piece, and/or painting is very messy.
