Self Evaluation - day to day 
This rubric will be used by students as a self-evaluation tool. The teacher will also use this rubric to assess student classroom participation and behaviour.

FULLY MATURED

Student habitually takes their seat and follows the day or weekly plan (reading/writing/entry quiz/activity). Students is always on time. Student only leaves when teacher dismisses class and always puts away all materials and leaves work area clean, organized, and tidy.
ALMOST MATURED

Student usually takes their seat at the start of class. Commonly starts the entry task as directed by the teacher according to the routine. Students leaves when teacher dismisses class and usually puts away all materials and leaves work area clean, organized, and tidy.
STILL MATURING

Student often needs to be prompted to take their seat and seldom starts the entry task on time (frequently late for class), usually getting started well into the time provided for the task. Student usually leaves only when teacher dismisses class and sporadically puts away all materials and leaves work area clean, organized, and tidy.
IMMATURE

Student is regularly late to class, and/or misses class often. Student rarely get the starting task completed. Student will cut out of class early as they see fit, and/or seldom takes care of their work station or cleans their area, instead leaving it in chaos.
PRODUCTIVITY/ON-TASK

FULLY MATURED

Student is almost always ON-TASK and works PRODUCTIVELY. Rarely leaves the classroom, stays focused while in groups. They manage their in class time well to optimize learning time.
ALMOST MATURED

Student is usually on-task and working productively. Leaves the classroom with a hall pass sometimes and stays mostly on task while in groups.
STILL MATURING

Student is off-task often and frequently
unproductive. Frequent trips out of the room, needs and to be refocused during group work, beyond the plan that may be in place.
IMMATURE

Usually not on-task nor productive. Excessive trips out the room, does not participate in group work.
PREPARATION

FULLY MATURED

Student is almost always prepared for class with assignments complete and suggested class materials ready and potential homework complete. They are ready to learn and on pace.
ALMOST MATURED

Student is usually prepared for class with assignments and suggested class materials (writing utensil, book, binder, etc.) and homework. Most often the student is ready to learn and on pace.
STILL MATURING

Student is normally not prepared for class with assignments and suggested class materials and homework. They often do not have their binder, paper, novel, and/or a writing utensil.
IMMATURE

Student is rarely prepared for class with assignments and suggested class materials and homework. Student is always looking for another novel to read, requires a pencil, and does not have notes complete.
BEHAVIOUR

FULLY MATURED

Student demonstrates responsibility and respect and does NOT display disruptive behavior during class.
ALMOST MATURED

Student mostly shows responsibility and respect and only sometimes displays disruptive behavior during class.
STILL MATURING

Student often displays disruptive behaviour such as: speaking out of turn, derailing conversations, and distracting classmates.
IMMATURE

Student displays excessive disruptive behaviour such as: speaking out of turn, derailing conversations, and distracting classmates.
CONTRIBUTION

FULLY MATURED

Student contributes to their learning at the class environment by consistently turning in assignments on time and helping others when asked (or volunteering when need is seen). The student regularly listens to others speak and is willing to share thoughts and answer questions in a constructive way.
ALMOST MATURED

Student meets most deadlines and often helps others to meet objectives. The student sometimes participates in question and answer sessions and sometimes volunteers thoughts and joins in discussion.
STILL MATURING

Student does not meet deadlines on a regular basis and has to be asked to complete his/her own assignments more than once. The student will sporadically become involved in questions, discussions, and class processes.
IMMATURE

Student does not do his/her assignments, even when asked and frequently refuses to help others and themselves. The student is not generally engaged at times when any and all can form and utilize voice.
Leader-Followship/Ownership

Circle where you are. You may circle in between if you think you are half way.

FULLY MATURED

Student meets deadlines and appropriately knows when to lead and when to support and let others lead.
ALMOST MATURED

Student usually meets deadlines and will lead with positive interaction most often, but is still learning how to follow another person's lead or step up and lead for themselves.
STILL MATURING

Student seldom will lead. Often the students does not meet deadlines. Students will follow and somewhat support.
IMMATURE

Students may occassionally lead but struggles to do so in a positive way. Student usually does not meet deadlines. Student prefers to follow but is not very supportive.
