Compare/Contrast Essay 
The purpose of this rubric is to give students the expectations for writing compare/contrast eassy on two texts written by the same author. They will compare and contrast an author’s use of descriptive and figurative language while explaining how it impacts the meaning of each text. In preparation for this assignment, the student will have had instruction in the writing process, sentence structure, capitalization, end marks, and read each text written by the same author.
