Students will create a poster that contains statements to persuade or disuade the public from participating in "El encierro de los toros de San Fermín" event in Pamplona, Spain. Students should have at least 4 sentences in Spanish on the topic in a creative and colorful poster.

Draw and paint, using contour lines, the arrangement of objects on the table before you. Use cross contour lines and layer india ink washes to create values according to the lighting in the room.

Group project-students are to create sturdy armature for pinata including entire form.

The student will create a relief printmaking block using styrofoam. Oraganization skills are necessary to keep plate, and cut piece the next day for multiple colors. The student will print an edition of 3 signed, numbered, titled and dated proof prints as well as Series of 3 final Editions.

Using a digital photo of a masterwork, grid the photo in a half inch inch grid. Then create a one inch grid on your illustration board to transfer your drawing to. After transferring your drawing using the grid, use two different mediums and color/shade your drawing. You will be graded on if you incorporate your own personal artistic style, use composition and design, craftsmanship, and effort.

Cubism inspired drawings in which students "shatter" or break up the space on their page in order to practice using a variety of values within the broken spaces.

Art & Design students should be able to successfully critique their own artwork and that of others using terminology that is understandable and relevant to students in the field of art, photography, and design. Choose a creative work (your own or another's). Write a critique using the 4 elements discussed in class. These elements don't necessarily need to be in separate headings, but must be present. Length: at least 300 words.

After a review of the color wheel by the teacher, the student will create a color wheel on paper using acrylic paint. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct colors on the color wheel in the correct position. In addition to the primary, secondary and tertiary colors the points of the color will contain the tint and the shade of each color.
