Objective: Gain an understanding of evidenced-based practice in special education.

Student is to create a power point presentation of a fad cure. Student will be asked to conduct a 10-15 minute presentation. PPT presentation slides are to include accurate information and pictures. Student must present information & power point presentation to the class. Information must be in depth; student will give appropriate credit to where information was gathered - NO PLAGIARISM. Must be STUDENT ORIGINAL. References must be listed in APA format on the reference slide.

You will actively participate & respond to the topic for the given week. You can utilize the designated reading assignments to participate in the discussion forum. After generating a discussion post, you must interact and provide constructive feedback for at least two of your classmates’ original discussion forum posts. Grades will be based upon the quality, originality, and our ability to link the theories with practice.

This rubric will be used to evaluate short-answer essays.

This rubric serves as a resource for school administrators when evaluating instructor unit plans. Use this rubric for grading student papers. Can be customized for any subject.

Responses must be written in appropriate academic language, with correct grammar, mechanics, and spelling. References in the written exam may be general, referring to specific authors or theorists without the requirement of specific citations. A passing grade requires an average of 3 (70%) on all questions.

Students will write a 5 -7 page paper on UDLin the classroom The paper should include at least 5 peer reviewed articles.

Students will write a 5 -7 page paper on differentiation in the classroom The paper should include three or more peer reviewed articles.

Students will write a paper on a Concept in Autism (Interventions, Theory of Mind, etc.) The paper should include three or more peer-reviewed articles for undergraduates and five or more peer-reviewed articles for graduate students. (page length will vary based on student level).

The students have to watch a film on a character with a disability then write a film review (150-500 words) on how that individual would have been impacted by special education services.
